Hastelloy N is a nickel-based alloy primarily made up of nickel, along with 15–18% molybdenum, 6–8% chromium, and up to 5% iron. It also contains trace amounts of carbon, silicon, manganese, cobalt, and tungsten, which boost its strength and resistance to corrosion. This alloy boasts a tensile strength of around 460–500 MPa, a yield strength of 140–200 MPa, and an elongation of about 45–50%, showcasing excellent ductility. With a density of approximately 8.86 g/cm³ and a melting point between 1300–1400 °C, it’s perfectly suited for high-temperature applications.
