Stainless Steel 317 and 317L Welded Pipes are austenitic stainless steels enriched with molybdenum, offering enhanced corrosion resistance compared to 316 grades. Typically, they contain 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, along with a low carbon content in 317L (max 0.03%) to boost weldability. These alloys boast impressive tensile strength (around 515 MPa), yield strength (205 MPa), and excellent creep resistance at high temperatures. Their non-magnetic properties in the annealed state, along with outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and sulfuric acid, make them perfect for harsh chemical environments.
